Discover the various dynamic analyses available in SCIA Engineer. This online training course will give existing users a general understanding of dynamic analysis in the software. This one day course (spread over two days) will give you an introduction to the theoretical background, correct analysis setup and how to interpret results in SCIA Engineer for various dynamic analyses.

The course will be based on simple examples to make each topic easier to understand. Training will cover eigenmodes, harmonic loads, seismic analysis (according to EC8), Von Karman vibrations, and time-history analysis.

 

Course Objective

Generally understand the dynamic analysis capabilities of SCIA Engineer. Understand how to set up and run various dynamic analysis types correctly. Completion will give attendees the confidence to use SCIA Engineer for dynamic assessment.

 

Who should Attend?

Existing users or past attendees of our SCIA Engineer Fundamentals training course. It is an excellent course for users who want to set up and perform dynamic analyses in SCIA Engineer correctly.

Prerequisites :

  • Basic understanding of the design codes regarding seismic analysis, and the dynamic analysis of structures.
  • Ability to independently create basic models in SCIA Engineer and perform a linear-static analysis
  • Installation of the latest SCIA Engineer release for both 32- and 64-bit versions (click here to download the latest SCIA Engineer release)
  • A training licence can be provided with prior arrangement (min 1 working day notice required)
  • A stable internet connection
