Install Tekla or Revit plug-in

This FAQ explains how you can install the plug-in between Tekla Structures and SCIA Engineer or Revit and SCIA Engineer.

You can download the Revit plug-in and the Tekla Structures plug-in here.

SCIA is not already installed on your PC

Go to https://www.scia.net/en/support/downloads/ and use the latest version of SCIA Engineer. Select the installation language and click twice on Next until the Setup Type dialog appears. Choose Custom and click on Next:

In the Custom Setup dialog go to Add-ons and select the plug-in that you want to install (either Tekla or Revit):

To run the plug-in, you always need a SCIA Engineer version, please keep the installation of SCIA Engineer as it is by default.

If you don’t have a SCIA Engineer license, leave the dialog where you have to fill in your license credentials empty.

 

SCIA is already installed on your PC

Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, select the SCIA Engineer version select Change:

Click on Next and then select the option Modify:

In the Custom Setup dialog go to Add-ons and select the plug-in that you want to install (either Tekla or Revit):

To run the plug-in, you always need a SCIA Engineer version, please keep the installation of SCIA Engineer as it is by default.
