Concrete Buildings Workshop

The Maryland and Virginia chapters of the Ready Mix Concrete Association, the Maryland chapter of the American Concrete Institute, and global design software developers Vectorworks, Inc. and SCIA, Inc., are joining forces to bring you the Concrete Buildings with BIM Workshop, an in-depth exploration into the power of concrete design.

Join Christopher Brown, structural engineering manager at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) and chair of ACI Committee 131 on BIM of Concrete Structures, as he explains how the Committee develops and streamlines BIM exchange standards for the concrete design, delivery, and construction process, and how such efforts leads to real-world success. You’ll also get to explore the legal implications of BIM workflows and how BIM techniques can be used to create more energy efficient projects, as well as how concrete is used to express the best of the built environment.

Afterward, join your fellow workshop attendees for a happy hour and networking session bringing together contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and educators.

Interested? You’ll have to act fast because the number of tickets available is limited.
