Why are the results (e.g. bending moments) in rare cases not according to the user’s expectations?

It might appear that the calculated results are not according to the user’s expectations. This phenomenon may be caused due to an accidental crash which may have caused corrupt data in the project. In order to resolve this issue, several options are possible which:

Option 1:

The user can clean the model by deleting all the results related items – f.e. the generated results, solver data, mesh etc. – and the unused library entities by using the “Cleaner”. This option can be found in the menu “Tools”. The model can be cleaned by using the following procedure:

  1. Navigate to the menu “Tools” in the main tree or in the toolbar;

  2. Select the option “Cleaner”;

  3. Select the option “All” for the menus “Results related items” and “Unused library entities”;

  4. Confirm with “OK”. After executing this step, a brief summary of all the deleted entities will be displayed and confirm one more time with “OK”.

  5. Rerun the calculation.

Option 2:

The second option to delete the corrupt data or clean the project is to export the model to a new project. In order to complete this operation, the following steps need to be followed:

  1. Navigate to the option “File” in the toolbar;

  2. Select the option “Export” followed by selecting the option “New project (.esa)”;

  3. Save the new project;

  4. Open the project and rerun the calculation.
