GUI functionality is affected by the "Show window content while dragging" option

For correct functionality of SCIA Engineer, it is necessary to have the option "Show window content while dragging" enabled, so that users have real-time feedback during window movements, panels and dialogues in SCIA Engineer can be docked and torn off and moved to another screen. If this option is disabled, it can make it impossible to dock and undock or tear off the various SCIA Engineers' panels or change the size of panels.

Enabling the Option:

1. Use Win + R to open Run. Type "SystemPropertiesPerformance" and press Enter.

2. Find item "Show window content while dragging".

3. Toggle the switch on to enable the feature.

Note that nowadays this option should be enabled by default, but if this isn't the case you can change it. If you use "best performance", please switch on "Show window contents while dragging" manually.

If you run into trouble because of this setting, for SCIA Engineer it may be necessary to reset the GUI by main menu View > User configuration > Restore default.
