Designing Steel Structures with SCIA Engineer & SDS/2
Even in the most straightforward projects, structural engineers and steel detailers are being asked to participate in collaborative, BIM model based workflows.
SCIA Engineer and SDS/2 (both Nemetschek companies) are working together to provide a workflow for sharing models in an efficient and robust manner. This allows the combination of the world-renowned analysis capabilities of SCIA Engineer with the unmatched connection design capabilities of SDS/2.
Register to learn how engineers and detailers can:
- Analyze and design steel structures in SCIA Engineer according to AISC 360 and AISI S100.
- Utilize IFC models to exchange data and automatically create native SDS/2 models
- Take advantage of result information from SCIA Engineer to design accurate connections in SDS/2
- Utilize the automatic connection design feature in SDS/2 which considers fit-up and constructability
Continuing Education Units: Attendees will receive a certificate in order to self-report PDH credit.
