The project consists of an industrial hangar designed to be built in Belo Jardim, in the countryside of the state of Pernambuco, northeast of Brazil. The hangar is of a semi-detached type with a double roof designed using laminated steel frames. The structure is 100 meters long with frames spaced at every 5 meters, 40 meters wide and ceiling height of 6 meters, having a central span of 20 meters and roof slope of 10%.
The presented work aims to develop the structural design of the hangar, being initially carried out by manual dimensioning of the main elements based on the current Brazilian standards, using software Ftool to obtain the internal efforts and deformations of the elements.
Then, the modeling, analysis and dimensioning of the global structure was carried out in the student version of SCIA Engineer 22.0, with the intention of establishing a comparative analysis of the results obtained through the two approaches used in the project.
