Footbridge in Kralupy nad Vltavou

"In my bachelor's thesis, I focused on the design of a footbridge over the Vltava River in the locality of Kralupy nad Vltavou. First was the design and the selection of a suitable bridging variant. Next, I performed a parametric study on the topic of beam and rigid frame bridges with a focus on rigid frame bridges with V-shaped legs.
After that, I selected the final rigid frame construction with V-shaped legs, which I prestressed in SCIA Engineer and reviewed using a time-dependent analysis. I focused on optimizing the construction and its prestressing cables. The work also contains a dynamic assessment. I found out some of the first own shapes of construction. Then I applied dynamic load according to a norm."
This project won the 2nd prize in the SCIA Student Contest 2021.
